BATTERY DISCHARGE / CASE DRAIN
Check
for battery discharge (case drain) across the top of the battery
using a digital voltmeter. Connect the negative (black) test lead
to the battery's negative terminal post, and connect the positive
(red) test lead to the top of the battery case. If the meter reads
more than 0.5 volt, clean the case top using a solution of baking
soda and water. Remove excess water from top of battery. |
